Saudi Arabia launches Attaa digital hackathon in Egypt

The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has partnered with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to launch the first Attaa Digital Hackathon in Egypt.

The digital hackathon is part of the Attaa Digital initiative, and will run between the 29th and 31st of August.

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) along with RiseUp Summit and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) are also partners in the Hackathon.

Aiming to raise digital awareness and strengthen partnerships with academic entities and universities, the hackathon will provide a number of workshops, training courses, and various tests that foster creativity, innovation, and teamwork to create Arabic educational content in the technical field as well as attract digital content creators.

Training tracks include cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality.

According to the announcement, applicants must be Egyptians who are at least 18 years old, active creators of Arabic digital content, and interested in technology.
