19 January 2022

ITIDA announced a new call for senior students to apply for its Graduation Projects Support, an ITAC program aiming to improve students learning outcomes, foster creativity and spark innovation. GP Support is designed to foster the grad projects of fourth year students enrolled in faculties of engineering, computer science, and information systems in Egypt. Students should submit projects in the fields of ICT at a date no later than the 15th of February, 2022.

Admitted graduation projects will be receiving funding amounting to EGP 10K per project after being evaluated by a group of experts. The program avails funds to university students’ graduation projects, enabling them to better innovate and develop products based on research and industrial developments.

It also opens the room for ICT companies to propose research areas based on market and industry needs. “GP Support” offered support to a number of 1230 projects across 33 universities in Egypt.

ITAC initiative seeks to reinforce the local ICT industry’s drive towards effective collaboration between industry and academia. The initiative comprises different programs [e.g. Collaborative Funded Projects, and MatchIT] targeting researchers, companies, and university students. It intends for creating avant-garde research-led products that position Egyptian ICT companies at the forefront of local and global markets.

Update: submission window closed on 15 February, 2022.
