Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has issued a decree appointing Hassan Elzaher the CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), for one-year term.
In December 2022, the ICT Minister issued a decree appointing Ahmed Elzaher ITIDA Acting CEO.
Elzaher has over 27 years of extensive experience in IT, especially related to go-to-market strategies, leadership development, and business growth, in several countries, including Egypt, the UAE, Kenya, and Algeria.
Elzaher has a strong track record of achievements in building and developing organizations, spearheading growth plans, and developing talents at the national and international levels. He occupied several leading positions at IBM Egypt, including Vice President of IBM Cybersecurity Business for the Middle East and Africa. Previously, he served as Regional Sales Director - Central, East and West Africa, IBM Global Technology Services Leader, and Territory Manager.
Elzaher holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Communications and Electronics), Ain Shams University.
