The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in collaboration with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the Information Technology Institute (ITI), the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), and the Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), has launched Digitopia, an annual hackathon aimed at nurturing innovation and discovering exceptional tech talent in Egypt.
Digitopia encourages participants—from fourth-grade students to individuals aged 35—to develop cutting-edge technological solutions addressing key societal challenges. The hackathon covers critical domains, including:

Cybersecurity
Gaming & Digital ArtsThe inaugural round runs from August 1 to mid-October 2025, with registration open until August 12, 2025.
