Prime Minister Mostafa Mabdouly has appointed Hala El Gohary as the CEO of the Information
Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
Last March, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat issued a decree, to appoint El
Gohary as ITIDA Acting CEO.
El Gohary has a vast experience, spanning over 25 years, in IT, business integration, customer relationship
management, innovation management, and service centers management, at regional and international levels.
Before joining ITIDA, El Gohary worked for IBM for over 20 years. She held several executive positions, the last of
which was the Director of Client Innovation Center (CIC) at IBM Middle East and Africa.
El Gohary obtained a B.Sc. in electronics and communication engineering, with a very good grade with honors from
Cairo University in 1994, in addition to a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Warwick,
UK, in 2015.
