Overview

ITIDA and GIZ propose to start a joint initiative to support German language skills for graduates and job seekers. Up4Jobs helps them find jobs within Egypt-based companies that target the German market across Information Technology and Information Technology enabled Services. This initiative offers 1) a language and work readiness training program, 2) a network of German speakers, and 3) a link between job seekers with companies and job opportunities.

Introduction

ITIDA predicts a wide market need for German language training in the local Information Technology sector. Many international business process services (BPS) companies based in Egypt are looking for candidates with high German language proficiency for IT and contact center roles.

The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) is a German development agency that provides services worldwide in international cooperation for sustainable development and international education. GIZ is mainly commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
GIZ has been active in Egypt since 1956. The German agency supports the Government of Egypt in its efforts to achieve the “Sustainable Development Strategy: Egypt Vision 2030” to create better social and economic prospects for the Egyptian people. On behalf of the German Government, the European Union, and other parties, GIZ implements projects across Egypt in areas of renewable energy and energy efficiency; water supply and sanitation, irrigation and waste management; sustainable economic development for employment; governance, and urban development.

ITIDA cooperates, in implementing this program, with the following training provider:

Komet institut: a German education institute. As a native speaking team, we have set ourselves the goal of offering language assistance to those who want to master the German language and to help them get a closer look at German culture.
