Within the framework of Egypt’s strategy for developing Sinai, and the human capital in North Sinai Governorate, Egypt is working to bring about an economic, social and security boom through injecting more government investments and implementing many projects in various sectors within this geographic area.

Program
 
 
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s strategy aims at increasing technical and linguistic capabilities of the people of North Sinai Governorate, and providing further job opportunities. Information Technology Industry Development Agency signed a cooperation agreement with Arish University. The aim is to hone the ICT skills of university students and fresh graduates in North Sinai and prepare them for the job market.
 
Arish University-ITIDA agreement reflects a geographical expansion of training programs provided by the Ministry and its affiliates throughout Egypt. MCIT ensures to achieve communication and integration with the academic community to create a digital talent pool across all governorates. It also seeks to refine this cadre base via a skills matrix required by the labor market locally and globally.
 
The two-year duration of the agreement aims to cooperate to develop capacities of about 600 young people annually from North Sinai. Its objective is to refine their skills in computer fields, cybersecurity basics as well as languages. This is in addition to technical training within Egypt Future Work is Digital: digital marketing, web development or data analysis tracks.
 
Under this agreement, ITIDA will provide a Summer Training program for the first-, second- and third-year students of the Faculty of Computer and Informatics, as well as for specialized students at Arish University. The Program aims to develop youth skills in various ICT fields, and in basic skills for the labor market.

Fresh graduates and job seekers
 
Residents of North Sinai to raise the competencies and abilities of young people and girls aged 16 years till 40 years
Scholarship Training Scope
 
1Training on Basic Skills of Computer and Languages

Training North Sinai residents on computer basic skills and languages as follow:

 
Two language levels
 
Computer basic skills, for instance:

- Office programs

- Internet and computer basics (fundamental and advanced levels)

- Cybersecurity basics

2Technical Training Program within FwD

This Program aims at upskilling the applicant to be technically trained through choosing one of the technical training tracks within Egypt Future Work is Digital initiative, which includes:

- Digital Marketing

- Web Specialization

- Data Analysis

3Summer Training Program for Students of Faculty of Computer and Informatics

Summer Training Program is a perfect fit for first-, second- and third-year students enrolled in the Faculty of Computer and Informatics, along with other specialized students at Arish University. It runs for 90 hours in the below technical scopes in addition to 30 hours on the basic skills for the labor market. Total time of training equals to 120 hours.

o Cisco Internet of Things (IoT)

o Huawei Network Security
