The growth of the high-tech sector in Egypt attracting IT giants: the exemplary case of Atos

Egypt's high-tech sector has achieved remarkable success in attracting leading international companies in various information and communications technology specialties to establish their outsourcing centers. This dazzling growth is part of the economic boom that Egypt has experienced in recent years.

During the inauguration of the new headquarters of the global service center of the French company Atos, a world leader in the field of digital transformation, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat, welcomed of the expansion of these activities in the country.

Atos has launched its Global Delivery Center in Egypt as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the country and provide its services on a large scale in the field of information technology. The company aims to expand its digital services export business, particularly in the area of digital desktop, application development and Microsoft services.

Established in Egypt since 2020, Atos began by recruiting 20 engineers and quickly expanded its activities in the field of outsourcing, with 73% of its total operations dedicated to export. The company's goal is to reach 3,000 engineers within two years and increase revenue to $300 million.

This dynamic demonstrates Egypt's growing potential in information technology and confirms its attractiveness for foreign investment in this area. A trend that promises to stimulate innovation and promote the country's economic development.
