Introduction

The ITIDA–DXC Dandelion Training Program is a strategic initiative designed to bridge the gap between Egypt’s neurodivergent talent and the rapidly evolving global technology sector. Developed through a collaboration between Information Technology Industry Development Agency and DXC Technology, the program provides an inclusive pathway for professional development. It aims to empower up to 60 neurodivergent individuals by equipping them with the essential technical and professional skills required to thrive in the digital economy.

Neurodivergent individuals—including those with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia—often possess unique cognitive strengths such as pattern recognition, analytical thinking, and exceptional attention to detail. The program recognizes these strengths and builds an ecosystem that transforms them into professional advantages within the technology industry.

Since its launch in 2014, the DXC Dandelion Program has expanded globally across multiple countries including Australia, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, the Philippines, and Egypt—demonstrating a strong track record in enabling inclusive tech careers.

Program Objectives

The program is built around six core pillars designed to help participants succeed in a professional environment:

Develop Technical Skills: Gain specialized IT knowledge and practical capabilities needed to succeed in the digital workforce.

Build Job Awareness & Career Confidence: Understand how the technology industry works while developing confidence to navigate professional environments.

Access Inclusive Support Structures: Learn within a training environment tailored to different ways of thinking and working.

Gain Practical Work Experience: Participate in hands-on projects and real-world scenarios that simulate professional workflows.

Foster Self-Determination & Self-Advocacy: Identify your strengths and learn how to communicate your needs effectively in the workplace.

Pathways to Employment: Access clear career pathways toward long-term job opportunities in the technology sector, including potential placement opportunities with DXC or partner organizations.

Eligibility Criteria

To ensure the program reaches those who will benefit most, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Neurodivergence: Applicants must have a documented diagnosis such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Dyslexia, or other cognitive differences.

Age Requirement: Maximum age: 25 years.

Educational Background

• Educational Background.

• Undergraduates: Must be in their final year of study.

Note: Candidates from other academic backgrounds with a strong passion for technology may also be considered.

IT Background

• Foundational Knowledge: Strong interest in IT domains such as Data Analysis or Software Testing.

• Digital Literacy: Basic computer operation skills (advanced technical training will be provided during the program).

Availability: Applicants must commit to the full 9-month program duration and actively participate in all training activities.
