Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, paid an inspection visit to the premises of qTech, the Saudi company specialized in digital transformation solutions and services, in Mansoura, accompanied by Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia Governorate. The visit was attended by Engineer Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA); Dr. Heba Saleh, President of the Information Technology Institute (ITI); along with senior officials from the Ministry and ITIDA.

qTech is one of the most prominent Saudi technology companies listed on the Nomu Parallel Market, Saudi Arabia's stock market for Small & Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). For over 16 years, the company has delivered digital transformation solutions and services to more than 200 governmental entities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its presence in Egypt is a core pillar of its growth strategy, operating two offices in Cairo and Mansoura, with around 200 Egyptian specialists working across software development, artificial intelligence, data engineering, quality assurance, business analysis, and digital product management. The company leverages highly skilled Egyptian talent in executing the majority of its technology projects and developing advanced digital solutions for its clients abroad.

During the visit, Dr. Amr Talaat received a detailed briefing on the company's operations in Egypt, its expansion plans, and the digital projects being carried out by its Egypt-based teams, along with the solutions and services it provides across the region. The company acts as a regional technology partner delivering advanced digital solutions and undertaking offshoring and digital service exports from Egypt to various markets, particularly the Saudi market.

Dr. Talaat praised the company's efforts in strengthening its presence in Mansoura, expanding its operations, and enhancing its digital service exports from Egypt. He emphasized the Ministry's commitment to supporting technology companies operating in the governorates to enable them to create more job opportunities, deliver high-quality digital solutions, and contribute to enhancing Egypt's competitiveness as a global hub for IT services, software development, and related digital services.

For his part, Engineer Ahmed El Zaher stressed that the expansion of leading regional companies such as qTech across the governorates reflects the growing confidence in Egypt's technical capabilities. He noted that such expansions support ITIDA's strategy to increase offshoring exports, broaden the base of global service centers, promote the nationwide spread of digital service delivery beyond Cairo, and attract new investments across diverse ICT domains.

Dr. Amr Talaat and the accompanying delegation also toured the company's premises, where he engaged in an open dialogue with the employees and listened to their insights and experiences. He underlined that the expertise and capabilities of Egyptian youth in technology fields remain the primary driver for encouraging global companies to invest in Egypt's offshoring industry.

Engineer Ahmed Abdel Salam Abdel Gaber, CEO of qTech, highlighted the company's ongoing collaboration with ITIDA through the Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) and the Chamber of Information Technology and Communications to obtain the CMMI integrated capability maturity model certification. This supports the enhancement of development operations, boosts productivity, improves product quality, strengthens technical competencies, and expands the company's export capacity in line with global best practices.

He also outlined the programs and initiatives implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, through the Digital Egypt Innovation Hub Creativa in Mansoura and the Information Technology Institute (ITI), to upskill Egyptian talent. He further presented the company's future expansion plans, particularly in developing products and delivering services in smart city management and artificial intelligence solutions, to reinforce the company's competitiveness and meet the growing demand across regional markets.
