The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has entered into a strategic partnership with CARITech, a leading digital technology solutions provider for the global banking sector, to boost the Egyptian software development industry.
This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on Wednesday, will allow CARITech to benefit from a range of training, certification, consultation, and assessment services offered by the Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC), a division of ITIDA.
Ahmed El-Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, emphasized that the partnership reflects the agency's commitment to empowering Egyptian IT companies and enhancing their global competitiveness. "This partnership is geared towards driving innovation in the software industry by focusing on skill development, improving digital talent efficiency, and accrediting professionals with international certifications," he stated.
El-Zaher also highlighted ITIDA's comprehensive approach to offering training, consultancy, and international certification services through such partnerships. "This strategy not only strengthens the capabilities of IT companies but also ensures the quality of their services, thereby solidifying Egypt's position as a global hub for IT service exports," he added.
The MoU further details the exchange of expertise and insights between ITIDA and CARITech, aimed at advancing knowledge and improving efficiency within the sector.
Ismail Ali, CEO of CARITech, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting the mutual benefits for both organizations. "We are proud to partner with ITIDA, the leading force in developing and advancing Egypt's IT sector," he said.
"This partnership provides our employees with access to ITIDA's training, certifications, and consultancy services, which are crucial for aligning them with international standards," Ali continued. "Investing in our employees and ensuring they meet global standards is key to our commitment to their professional growth and to providing them with promising career opportunities."
Ali also highlighted the partnership's role in facilitating information exchange between CARITech and ITIDA, helping CARITech stay informed about the latest trends in the IT sector and enhancing its competitiveness in global markets.
Currently, CARITech delivers services to various banks, especially in the Americas, focusing on the transformation and development of core banking systems and providing 24/7 technical support. The company plans to expand its services to the Middle East and Africa in the near future.
CARITech has acknowledged the success of its collaboration with SECC, praising the expertise of its consultants in delivering specialized services. This partnership has played a significant role in improving the efficiency of CARITech's software development processes, enabling the company to achieve Level 3 certification in the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development and Services, a prestigious global quality standard in the software industry.
