ITIDA Organizes Egyptian–Thai Business Forum to Strengthen Tech Partnerships and Drive Investment Opportunities

6 July 2025

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) organized the Egyptian–Thai Business Forum at its headquarters in Smart Village on June 25, in collaboration with the Office of Commercial Affairs at the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo, Thailand's Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), and the Association of Thai Software Industry (ATSI).

The forum brought together representatives from 12 Egyptian and 14 Thai ICT companies, alongside government officials and industry stakeholders from both countries. It served as a platform to explore joint investment prospects, receive a briefing on Egypt's "Digital Egypt strategy for the Offshoring Industry", promote technology partnerships, and foster knowledge exchange between the two business communities.

As part of the forum and the Thailand Software Outgoing Trade Mission, participating Thai companies showcased a diverse range of advanced technology solutions, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), cybersecurity, smart city technologies, digital insurance, tourism tech, educational platforms, big data analytics, supply chain optimization, industrial IoT, e-government applications, and digital transformation services for manufacturing.

On the other side, Egyptian companies showcased innovative offerings in artificial intelligence, embedded software, data science, cloud computing, UX design, and business process services—demonstrating strong potential for collaboration in priority sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, education, public services, insurance, and tourism.

The forum also featured B2B matchmaking sessions, enabling participants to explore cooperation opportunities, engage in networking and business matching with Egyptian software entrepreneurs, and expand their presence in regional and global markets.

This engagement aligns with ITIDA's broader mission to support the international expansion of Egyptian tech companies—particularly SMEs—while advancing Egypt's position as a competitive and attractive destination for digital exports, foreign investment, and innovation-driven partnerships.
