Industry 4.0 Innovation Center (IIC) is a joint initiative of ITIDA, Industrial Modernization Center (IMC), and Siemens Egypt. IIC is geared towards promoting the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies and practical applications in smart factories. The Initiative is based in the Knowledge City at the New Administrative Capital, and is part of Egypt Makes Electronics. The Center is designed to (1) provide training in automation and digitization techniques, and (2) promote adoption of advanced technology in local manufacturing. It also supports industrial innovation and design of smart factories, with an eye to transfer knowledge and contribute to flourishing the local industrial sector. IIC offers a range of services to local manufacturers, comprising awareness-raising sessions, training programs, technical workshops, and innovation labs. State-of-the-art technologies and equipment, such as 3D printers, robotics, and automation systems, will be available for use at the Center. Through IIC, homegrown manufacturers can explore the potential of Industry 4.0 technologies, and learn how to apply them in their businesses. The Center offers support for research and development in order to develop new products and solutions that can drive innovation and growth in the domestic manufacturing sector.
